Cinque Terre: Off the beaten path

An Off-the-Beaten Path Adventure in Cinque Terre

Spending the day with Katie and Brice was a true pleasure, from pick-up at their hillside rental Villa to drop-off later that evening.

Together we traveled to Cinque Terre, one of Italy's most notable landscapes and a recognized UNESCO Heritage Site. Katie and Brice's request was to enjoy the most beautiful sites, while avoiding the inevitable crowds associated with a not-so-best-kept-secret tourist site. So that is what we did!

BONARTULIA organized a private water taxi to pick them up at Riomaggiore, the first of Cinque Terre's five villages.

From there it was smooth and exclusive sailing with stops at Manarola, Vernazza, and Monterosso al Mare, where Katie and Brice enjoyed a typical seafood lunch at the private local yacht club; delicious, authentic, and hidden from the crowd.

In Monterosso al Mare, they discovered typical little shops and homemade gelato.

Lunch was followed by a small adventurous climb to savor the view (and take some photos!) from atop a lesser-frequented, breathtaking, antique castle.

Beat and satisfied after a unique day, Katie and Brice relaxed as they enjoyed the view from the private water taxi that brought them back to their van for a hillside drive directly to their accommodation.
